Drawing, crafting and playful learning with young children
The art materials for children aged 2 and up have been tested by educational experts and teachers – and found to be excellent!
- 3-in-1 pencils are extremely versatile: The ergonomic Noris junior pencils for kids are not just colouring pencils: they can also be used as wax crayons or as watercolour pencils, using a brush and some water. This gives little ones their first experiences with colour, so they can experiment to their heart’s content.
- Children’s pencils prepare kids to write their first words and promote a secure pencil grip.
- Wax crayons are optimised for children’s fists and promote the development of the hand and finger muscles.
- Pencils sharpeners can be used by right or left-handed children, thanks to their “dual sharpening” design, and have a flat sharping angle that promotes thick and soft colour transfer.
- Finger paints are also a valuable educational tool. These paints for children appeal to the senses and teach kids how to mix different colours.
- Modelling dough promotes three-dimensional thinking, fine motor skills, sensitivity and regulation of force. With these craft materials, kids can develop their sensory abilities as they learn that the modelling dough becomes easier to shape when kneaded.

To keep the fun going, the Noris junior pencil sharpener is a practical accessory that lets kids safely and easily sharpen their crayons for further use.

Creative tip: Sharpen different colours to create a little pile of coloured pencil shavings. Kids can use their finger to rub them across the paper in circular motions or straight lines. This creates brilliant colour mixtures or pretty flowers.
Finger paints
Paint with bright colours using your fingers – a creative paradise! As well as being immense fun for kids, the finger paints are also ideal for developing colour recognition, experimenting with colour and promoting an understanding of cause and effect.

Creative tip “Rain pictures”: Rainy days are the perfect opportunity to paint with the children. The children can use the brush and watercolours to create different patterns and motifs of their choice on the sheet of paper. The piece of paper is then placed in a tray in the rain. Now you can observe together how the water droplets change their image. When the children are happy with the artwork, set them aside to dry.

The non-toxic felt-tip pens also meet the high demands of parents with regard to safety and harmlessness to health.

- Dermatologically tested and free from toxic ingredients
- The wide, hexagonal shaft shape is ideal for small children’s hands
- Cap with breathing channel according to ISO 11540 and BS 7272-1/2
Painting and drawing is educationally valuable: The wide, hexagonal shank shape of the pencils is designed for children’s fist grip. Painting promotes the development of hand and finger muscles and thus the grasping ability and, above all, fine motor skills, which prepares the children for later writing. Children also train their hand-eye coordination, concentration, attention and self-effectiveness when colouring in.
Creative tip: If you cut a coffee filter apart at the edges, children can colour it in with felt-tip pens. Then clip the coffee filters together with a decorated (painted) clothes peg in the middle. And a colourful butterfly is created.
Sidewalk chalk for kids
The versatile Noris junior sidewalk chalk is suitable for children from the age of 2. Thanks to its special formula, it is safe for children and low in dust.
- The thick, compact shape makes it easy for children’s hands to grip
- The child-friendly chalk is ideal for outdoor use, especially for painting on asphalt and similar surfaces
- Easy to wash off with water.
- Bright colours: white, yellow, orange, pink, blue and green
Incredibly valuable: When painting, children immerse themselves in their own world for minutes, sometimes even longer. This encourages creativity and concentration. It also trains spatial imagination and strengthens cognitive skills. Holding the chalks strengthens fine motor skills and improves hand-eye coordination. Painting with street crayons also encourages children’s social interactions. Painting together with friends allows you to exchange ideas, collaborate on small projects and communicate with each other. In addition, painting geometric shapes and letters playfully supports children’s knowledge expansion.
Creative tip "Over the lily of the water pond": Paint a large pond with lots of different sized lily pads on the asphalt. Add a few ducks and colourful flowers in between. The children can now jump over the pond like a frog from leaf to leaf without falling into the water or stepping on the ducks.
