Sustainability at STAEDTLER
For us, sustainability is an ongoing process – driven by continuous development, dynamic adaptation and the need to act consistently.
The STAEDTLER Groupʹs sustainability strategy is based on the internationally recognised ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) criteria of the United Nations (UN) and the requirements of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive).
In doing so, we take into account the expectations and needs of our stakeholders – from employees and customers to partners, investors and society. By closely linking our sustainability measures to our overall corporate strategy, we create synergies between environmental action, social responsibility, our risk management and long-term economic success.
Environment: Responsibility for our environment
Our focus is on the responsible and forward-looking use of our planet‘s natural resources.
Efficiency is a key lever in this regard – especially in production and logistics. We implement targeted actions that measurably reduce our environmental impact.
The central points are on our manufacturing processes, the selection and use of materials, and the procurement and transport of raw materials.
We contribute to climate and environmental protection by providing positive impetus throughout the entire value chain.
Social: Social responsibility
People - whether employees, customers, or partners - are at the heart of our social sustainability strategy.
Social responsibility shapes our corporate culture and our daily work. Through targeted projects, we address social issues and foster dialogue with the communities around us.
Our focus is on safe and healthy working conditions. At the same time, we create a work environment that fosters creativity and encourages initiative.
Governance: Acting responsibly and transparently
Responsible and sustainable conduct requires clear structures and guidance.
Integrity, transparency and reliability are key guiding principles that shape our daily actions.
Our codes of conduct provide the framework for responsible conduct, both within the company and throughout the entire value chain.
A compliance committee oversees these matters and supports the continuous development of our compliance culture through communication, training and guidelines.
