DIY FIMO Garland for your New Year‘s Eve Party

New Year‘s Eve – The last party of the year!
Enjoying the evening with friends, reflecting on the old year during dinner and celebrating the new year together at midnight – of course, everything should be festively decorated. This shimmering garland of FIMO is simply perfect for your New Year‘s Eve decoration. Happy New Year!

Roll out a block of FIMO soft with the acrylic roller on baking paper to a sheet about 3mm thick.
Tip: Work in progress and left-over material should be protected against sun and heat and can be stored in a screw-top jar or in cling film to protect it from dust and dirt.

Now place a sheet of FIMO leaf metal in gold on the rolled out FIMO soft sheet. Gently roll the FIMO soft with the acrylic roller so that the metal leaf adheres well to the FIMO.

Use the cookie cutter to cut out circles from the FIMO sheet. If you like, you can also cut out small circles and make decorative elements for the garland, scatter decoration or seating cards.

Place one letter of the „happy new year“ template on a FIMO circle.
Use the pointed side of the beading needle to stitch through the center of each letter.

Remove the template and now use the blunt back of the beading needle to enlarge the holes with circular movements. This is important so that later enough light can shine through the pendant from behind and you can read the writing well.
Also make two holes at the upper edge for the pendant. Harden all pendants in the oven for 30 minutes at 110° C / 230° F.

After cooling down, thread the big circles on string or on a cord and place the garland above your table or on the wall.
Happy New Year!
