Earrings: For the earrings, roll 2 small balls out of half astrip of indian red FIMO soft. Do the same with FIMOsoft in black and FIMO effect in glitter gold. Press intothe small, square-shaped jewellery frames. Use yourfingers to press in firmly so that the FIMO is well joinedwith the edge of the frame. Then roll over the frame withthe acrylic roller to make sure the FIMO fits snugly and togive the clay a smooth surface. Use the blade to cut offany excess FIMO from around the outside of the frame.
Bracelet: To make the bracelet, use the acrylic roller to roll 4 strips of indian red FIMO soft out to a thin sheet. Repeat with black-coloured FIMO soft and FIMO effect in glitter gold. Place 2 large square-shaped jewellery frames on each of the coloured sheets of clay and press down as far as they will go. Roll over the frame with the acrylic roller again to obtain a smooth surface. Use the blade to cut off any excess FIMO from around the outside of the frame.
Push two bead-piercing needles horizontally through two holes in opposite sides of the frame. Thread all three of the smaller square-shaped earring frames onto the bead-piercing needles and place on a sheet of baking paper. Repeat with the larger bracelet frames. Then harden everything in the oven for 30 minutes at 110°C. Take them out, leave to cool and then carefully pull the bead-piercing needles out. Add a coat of gloss varnish if required.
Tip: In order to ensure that the holes do not shrink, the bead-piercing needles must be left in during the baking process.
Thread the small squares for the earrings onto a length of jewellery wire in the order of the colours of the German flag. Small metal beads can be added as spacers between the individual colours.
Finish off by joining both ends of the wire together with a crimp bead and then attach to the earring hook.
String the 6 large squares for the bracelet onto a length of elastic. Again, you should keep the colours black, red and gold in the right order. Tie the ends of the elastic together.
Tip: The size of the bracelet can be adjusted by adding crimp beads between the individual squares.
Press a ball of left-over FIMO into the square-shaped ring bezel leaving approx. 3 mm free. Place strips of the three colours of the flag on top and smooth over with the acrylic roller.
Ring, necklace, bracelet or earrings – there are no limits to what you can make. Whether black/red/gold, blue/ white/red or even green/white/red ... you can create your very own fan look to match the colours of your national flag.
