Minimalist look DIY necklace

Simple design – huge impact!
Got a new outfit but no jewellery to go with it? We have a super quick solution for you! Simply cut sticks of various sizes from FIMO blocks in the colours of your choice, pierce a hole in each, harden them, and your new fashion accessory is done!

The minimalist look of this necklace is created by straight strips of different lengths and widths. To achieve this, first cut a straight portion directly from a block of FIMO soft windsor blue and cut it to the desired size. Make sure you keep the blade vertical as you cut.

Then repeat with white, gold and silver FIMO and cut 5 more sticks in different sizes.
Tip: To make a bracelet, create more sticks and pierce holes top and bottom. Make sure there is always the same distance between the two holes, e.g. 30 mm. After hardening the pieces, thread them onto two lengths of elastic cord.

Now arrange all the sticks next to each other in the desired order and use the bead piercing needle to pierce a hole through each stick about 5 mm from the top. Then harden the sticks in the oven for 30 minutes at 110°C/230°F.

Once they‘ve cooled, thread the sticks onto the chain and close it – and you’re done!
Tip: Work in progress and left-over material should be protected against sun and heat and can be stored in a screw-top jar or in cling film to protect it from dust and dirt.
