Take one block of FIMO effect in jade green and one in blue ice quartz and roll each into a cord.

Tip: Work in progress and left-over material should be protected against sun and heat and can be stored in a screw-top jar or in cling film to protect it from dust and dirt.

Twist the FIMO cords together to create a pretty marbled pattern.

Now roll the twisted cords into one thick cord about 2 cm in diameter.

Now divide the cord into lots of smaller pieces using the FIMO blade. The pieces can be any length between 1 cm and 7 cm – feel free to vary the lengths, as this will make the crystals look even better when they’re finished.

Then lie the pieces you have cut on baking paper and put them in the fridge for about 30 minutes. This will firm up the FIMO and make it easier to cut accurately.

Stand each FIMO cylinder upright, position the blade at the top and cut down the length of the cylinder all around it, creating lots of angular edges.

Then lie the cylinder down and trim the top – as if you’re
carving it. Trim several pieces off here too, so that it looks
like a crystal.

It’s okay if it looks uneven – after all, crystals aren’t symmetrical in nature either.

Then lay the FIMO crystals on baking paper, harden in the oven at 110°C / 230°F for 30 minutes and allow to cool completely.

Now you just need to glue them together. Arrange the crystals with the larger ones at the back and the smaller ones towards the front. Use lots of dots of hot glue to stick the crystals together.

Use the pliers to make several turns in the end of the wire. Then cut it to a length of about 10 cm. Put a dot of hot glue on the bottom of the wire and simply push the wire into your crystal cluster.
