Step-by-step tutorial

Roll 2 portions of FIMO soft in sahara into a ball with your hands.

Press the ball flat slightly and shape it into a doughnut using your fingers.

Take the FIMO modelling tool (conical point), place it in the middle and turn it around, carefully piercing a hole. Now turn the doughnut over and pierce a hole in the other side, so that you can see all the way through the doughnut.

Cut into one side of the doughnut using a blade, creating a slit.

Now push the long spoon handle into the slit and press the FIMO soft around it firmly. Close the join using the modelling tool and smooth it over.

To create the doughnut icing, cut about a quarter of a portion of FIMO soft in white into small pieces using the blade. Then knead the little pieces with your fingers until soft and place them in a small glass bowl. You can of course choose a different colour of FIMO, depending on what colour you want your icing to be.

Now pour a little FIMO liquid in transparent over the pieces.

Stir the white FIMO and FIMO liquid with the blunt end of the paintbrush.

Keep on adding FIMO liquid and stirring until the mixture is a smooth, creamy consistency.

Take the paintbrush and spread the white FIMO liquid onto the doughnut to create the icing.

Roll whatever other FIMO effect pastel colours you like into small, thin sausages. Cut off little pieces using the blade and sprinkle them over the doughnut like candy.
Then harden the doughnut on the spoon in the oven for 30 minutes at 130° C / 266° F.

Tip: Work in progress and left-over material should be protected against sun and heat and can be stored in a screw-top jar or in cling film to protect it from dust and dirt.
