Social: Social responsibility
At the heart of our sustainability strategy in the social sphere are people – as employees, customers and partners. For us, acting sustainably means actively practising social responsibility and embedding it firmly within our corporate culture.
We contribute to social cohesion by providing targeted support for social projects and fostering long-term, trusting relationships. At the same time, we continuously invest in safe and health-promoting working conditions, ergonomic workstations and preventive health programmes.
An open corporate culture, in which creativity and personal initiative are explicitly encouraged, forms the basis for sustainable business success.
Our values
Our day-to-day work is guided by clearly defined values. Openness, mutual support and cooperation based on trust characterise the way we work together. We see ourselves as a team that achieves success together and actively shapes change.
Staff have a say
Through our international employee survey, OurVoice, we give our staff a strong voice. Anonymous and open feedback enables us to build on our strengths in a targeted manner, identify areas for improvement and continuously develop our working environment.
Health and safety
The health and safety of our staff is our top priority.
Through comprehensive health and wellbeing programmes, preventative measures and regular safety training, we create the conditions for a safe and healthy working environment. Our in-house fire brigade, clearly defined standards and our consistent focus on accident prevention help us to combine safety and responsibility in a sustainable way.
World Kids Colouring Day
STAEDTLER launched World Children’s Drawing Day in 2008 and has been encouraging children all over the world to draw and do good ever since.
For every picture drawn, we donate one euro to children’s charities – turning the little artists themselves into big helpers who are committed to supporting children in need.
Sedex member
STAEDTLER has been a member of Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) since 2022. Sedex is one of the internationally recognised organisations that support companies in implementing and further developing safe, ethical and responsible business practices within the supply chain.
As part of this membership, our own standards are also reviewed and assessed by Sedex.
External audit results are made available to our customers via the Sedex platform.
Product compliance and consumer responsibility
For the STAEDTLER Group, the safety of our products is at the heart of everything we do. We take responsibility for the health and safety of our consumers and tailor our processes – along with their ongoing monitoring – to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
For us, safeguarding health and safety begins as early as the product development stage and continues through to manufacturing, quality assurance and use.
In addition, our Customer Service team is on hand to provide expert and reliable support for any queries regarding products, their use and safety.
