The STAEDTLER-Foundation Supports Young Scientists

Since 1999, the STAEDTLER-Foundation has awarded its Ph.D. Awards to young scientists at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) for their outstanding work. For their exceptional academic achievements, the Ph.D. candidates receive an a prestigious prize of €3,500 each.

The recipients are nominated by their respective faculties. The STAEDTLER-Foundation recognizes excellent academic performance across all disciplines. In recent years, doctoral theses in fields such as chemistry, medicine, philosophy, law, engineering, theology, and economics have been honored.

Ph.D. Award Ceremony 2025

The STAEDTLER-Foundation awarded Ph.D. Awards for the 27th Consecutive Year. Ten Ph.D. candidates received prize money totaling €35,000.

This year, the STAEDTLER-Foundation honored ten Ph.D. candidates from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg for the 27th consecutive year. For their outstanding academic achievements, each received a prestigious prize of €3,500. The prestigious Ph.D. Awards were presented in a festive ceremony on October 23, 2025, at the headquarters of the STAEDTLER Group in Nuremberg.
