Promoting ideas and preserving knowledge - these two guiding principles are at the heart of the STAEDTLERFoundation. Education, knowledge and innovation capabilities are crucial for the development of our society. Since 1997, all shares of the STAEDTLER Group have been held by the STAEDTLER-Foundation. Committed to non-profit objectives, the STAEDTLER-Foundation has promoted scientific research at universities since its formation, with a particular focus on Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU).
In line with its guiding principle, "ldeas and Knowledge: The Capital of Tomorrow," the Foundation supports projects that pursue innovative solutions or apply pioneering methods. Furthermore, the STAEDTLER-Foundation is dedicated to cultural projects in the Nuremberg metropolitan region.

The STAEDTLER-Foundation is a public foundation under civil law and is based in Nuremberg - at the Franconian headquarters of the globally active manufacturer of writing, drawing and creative products.

All activities of the STAEDTLER-Foundation are based on the conviction that innovation, as well as the acquisition and preservation of knowledge, are not only engines of social progress, but also improve the outlook and future opportunities for every individual.

Accordingly, the STAEDTLER-Foundation is a dependable partner for scholars at supported universities who explore new ideas in a scientific context. It facilitates research at the highest level. In the realm of culture, the Foundation is dedicated to preserving our society's art-historical heritage and contemporary cultural assets for future generations.

Since its beginnings, the STAEDTLER-Foundation has donated over 22 million euros to more than 630 non-profit projects in science and culture.
