Empowering Talent
“Deutschlandstipendium” at the STAEDTLER-Foundation
Through the scholarship program "Deutschlandstipendium", the federal government and private sponsors jointly support talented and capable students. The aim is to recognize outstanding performance and social engagement, reinforce society's responsibility for education and talent, and ultimately contribute to a new scholarship culture in Germany.
Students receiving the Deutschlandstipendium are awarded 300 euros per month, regardless of their income. Half of this amount is funded by a private sponsor, while the other half is provided by the federal government. The program was launched in 2011. The universities select the scholarship recipients and thereby consider not only excellent grades but also social engagement, exceptional personal achievements, and the social and family situation.
The STAEDTLER-Foundation supports the Deutschlandstipendium as part of its extensive commitment to the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen (FAU) and the Nuremberg Institute of Technology Georg Simon Ohm (TH). The Deutschlandstipendium allows the STAEDTLERFoundation to further expand its engagement, supporting not only scientific projects and PhDs but also fostering young, outstanding talent at the start of their academic careers.
The STAEDTLER-Foundation permanently supports 20 Deutschlandstipendien in various fields of study. Since 2012, the project has been supported with total funding of over 410,000 euros.
