Royal Christmas - DIY wrapping paper
What would presents be without some pretty wrapping paper?
Wrapping a present nicely is part of what makes it a present. It’s what makes your gift a proper surprise. And the recipient will notice straight away how much trouble you have taken with the wrapping. Our paper, with gold calligraphy set against petrol blue, is almost a gift in itself!
Print out each greeting in several sizes on a sheet of A4 paper.
Shade over the back of the letters with a soft pencil (e.g. Lumograph B6).
Fix several templates diagonally (front side up) across the petrol blue paper using masking tape. Move the greetings around to ensure you make maximum use of the available space.
Go over the letters with a (sharp) HB pencil, to transfer the designs. Before you remove the templates, lift them up from the bottom corners to check that you have transferred all the lines.
Go over all the letters with the metallic marker in gold.
Then decorate the capital letters with lines and dots if you like. Fill the empty space between the greetings with crosses, lines or other patterns.
