Holidays – the best time of the year: you can’t experience too many distant countries or different cultures. A creative home made travel journal will let you hold on to the best memories of your dream destinations. Simply paste in a couple of holiday photos, tickets, maps etc. and decorate it all with some lovely lettering. There’s nothing better than spending a relaxed evening looking through your travel journal, going back over your memories and planning where to go next.

Create a globe by drawing a circle with the compass and then drawing in the outlines of the various continents with a pencil.

Now go over the outlines with the double-ended watercolour brush pens.

Use a water brush to blend the outlines of the continents carefully towards the centre.

Now it’s time to get creative: immortalise your favourite holiday memories, such as photos, stamps and tickets, on the opposite page and maybe add some pretty lettering.
