Minimalist bead necklace
Subtle taupe, antique rosé, royal violet – these are the colours that will be dominating the world’s catwalks in the coming year and giving new impetus to fashion and design.
And naturally they’ll form part of the FIMO range. This bead necklace is quick and easy to make and doesn’t have to be in the season's on trend colours to look good!
Step-by-step tutorial
Since the chain consists of three balls of different sizes, you will need different amounts of the relevant FIMO soft colours: ½ portion of antique rosé, ½ portion of taupe, 1 portion of royal violet.
Roll each one into a ball by hand.
Tip: Work in progress and left-over material should be protected against sun and heat and can be stored in a screw-top jar or in cling film to protect it from dust and dirt.
Use the bead piercing needle to create a hole in each ball. Make sure the hole in the bead is large enough to thread the leather string through later.
Now thread each ball on to a bead piercing needle and hang it over a heat resistant container to ensure no dents arise during hardening. Harden the beads in the oven at 110° C / 230° F for 30 minutes.
After they have cooled, thread them onto a matching string, thong or chain, and you’re done!
