Step-by-step tutorial

Print out the template of the woman’s face and any other motifs you want to use.

Generously hatch the back of the paper with a soft pencil. Now you can easily transfer the motifs onto the bottom side of your board.

Tip: Depending on the size of your longboard, you can simply scale the motifs up and down in a copy shop and have them printed out.

Place the templates with the hatched side facing downwards onto the bottom side of your longboard. Fixate the paper with adhesive tape. Place all motives as you like. Now trace the contours with a sharpened pencil – this is how the motif is transferred onto the longboard.

If you wish, you can use the pencil to sketch other motifs onto the board: from floral patterns, geometric shapes, to lettering or speech bubbles. Make sure you leave enough free areas that are not going to be coloured in. This ensures that your motifs have enough space to make a great impression.

Use the black Lumocolor permanent markers: first, trace the contours with the marker in size M and then colour in the different areas with the large marker (chisel tip).

Tip: A strong contrast between coloured and uncoloured areas makes your longboard stand out. Therefore, make sure you do not draw on too much of the board’s surface.

Finally, add small details and elements: stars, dots and letterings e.g. your name make your longboard truly unique.

Helmet on, shoes on and off you go to cruise!
