DIY wedding ring bowl

Rustic Romance - DIY wedding ring bowl
20 min Easy

This romantic ring bowl with lace pattern and a little heart is perfect for a rustic country wedding.
If you want, you can add your initials to the FIMOair light using a stamp. There is a jute cord to secure the rings to the bowl, to make sure they don‘t get lost on the way to the altar. The bowl looks especially pretty if you add a sprig of gypsophila, pushing it under the cord.

Step-by-step tutorial

Cut a piece of FIMOair light about 7 cm wide. Store the remaining FIMOair light in an airtight container, for example a screw top jar.

Then roll out the FIMOair to a thickness of about 0.8 cm using the acrylic roller.

Place a small wooden heart and a crocheted or lace doily on the FIMOair light and roll over them with the acrylic roller to create a pattern.

Alternatively you can use stamps to add letters. Remove the heart and the doily.

Place a small china bowl with a diameter of approx. 8-10 cm on the FIMOair light sheet and cut round it using the blade.

Remove the FIMOair light sheet carefully from the surface it is on, place it on the plate and press down gently so that the FIMOair light takes on the plate’s rounded form.

Create two holes 0.5 cm from the edge using a straw. Leave to air dry for 24 hours.

Smooth off any uneven areas using a damp sanding sponge.

Paint the central heart with red acrylic paint and leave to dry completely.

Finally thread a jute cord through the holds and attach the rings with a bow.
