Step-by-step tutorial

Roll out half a block each of FIMO soft white, sahara, sunflower, indian red and black to make one sheet each. Each sheet should be about 3mm thick. Use the acrylic roller to roll them out.

Tip: Work in progress and left-over material should be protected against sun and heat and can be stored in a screw-top jar or in cling film to protect it from dust and dirt.

Now form a roll with a diameter of about half a centimeter from a portion of FIMO soft black.

Place the roll on the beige FIMO sheet and cover it with it. Cut off the edges with a blade.

Now roll the roll (also called cane) a little longer and thinner with the help of a glass plate. The glass plate helps you to keep the cane evenly thick.

Place the cane on the black FIMO sheet and cover the cane with it.

Now cut the yellow FIMO sheet into long, narrow strips.

Place the strips on the cane and press them gently. Roll the cane a little longer and thinner with the help of the glass plate.

Cut two pieces of the cane of the same length (approx. 5 cm). Now place the end of the cane on a narrow white FIMO strip. Place the strip around the end of the cane and press it gently.

Now cut a strip in FIMO indian red. Use the scalloped knife for the upper long edge. The strip should be about 4mm wide and 2cm long.

Now form a small red ball and press it flat into a circle. This will be the end cap on your pencil earring. Place the circle at the end of the cane to finish it off.

Then wrap the red FIMO strip around the end of the cane. The so-called “dipping cap” is finished.

Using the glass plate, gently roll over the cane again so that it becomes a little thinner and longer and all the FIMO elements are well connected. Now attach the chain pin to the back end.

Harden everything lying flat on baking paper in the oven for 30 minutes at 110 ° C / 230 ° F top/bottom heat. Let the earrings cool down well afterwards.

Now sharpen your pin earrings with the sharpener and attach the ear hooks.
