Making lovely wooden napkin holders for the wedding

Additionally required:
Wooden board e.g. spruce, Scroll saw or jigsaw, Forstner bit Ø 3.5 cm, Fine sandpaper, Scissors
Step-by-step tutorial
First, print out the template provided and carefully cut out the heart with scissors.
Then place the template on the wood and trace the outline of the heart with a pencil. Make sure you transfer the lines accurately.
Using a scroll saw or jigsaw, cut the heart out of the wood along the lines you have drawn. Work precisely to achieve a clean result.
Next, drill a hole in the centre of the heart using a Forstner bit. Secure the heart with screw clamps to prevent it from slipping and always ensure your safety.
Once the heart has been cut out and the hole drilled, sand all the edges of the wooden heart to remove any imperfections and ensure a smooth surface.
Now comes the creative part! Use the STAEDTLER Lumocolor paint markers to design the wooden heart according to your ideas. Draw filigree tendrils and leaves and label the napkin rings with the guests' names to help everyone find their place. Experiment with different colours and patterns to create a harmonious table setting.
Another design option is to colour in the clean cut area around the heart with the markers. This gives the napkin rings an additional, thoughtful touch.
