Step-by-step tutorial

Print out the seahorse template. Grab a white sheet of paper and a pencil and trace the template. It’s very easy: shade the back of the template motif with the pencil. Place the template (with the front side facing up) on the drawing paper. Then trace the outline and lines of the seahorse using the pencil. This will transfer the motif to the paper. If the line is too dark, erase it slightly with an eraser.

Now it's time to use the Noris junior wax crayons. Draw lots of colourful circles around the seahorse's belly. Then draw another circle around the coloured circles with the white wax crayon – later this will create a beautiful “magic effect” in these areas.

Choose two or more colours and trace the outline of the seahorse until the whole seahorse can be seen.

For the next step, you will need the watercolour box and a brush. Colour the seahorse in your colours of choice. Magic effect: The watercolour is repelled in the areas where you used the wax crayon and creates a beautiful pattern.

Now all that’s missing is the seahorse's face. Cut out the eye from the white and black paper and glue it onto the seahorse.

Done!
