Drawing motifs on metal plate - Wild monsters on metal

Drawing motifs on metal plate - Wild monsters on metal
60 min Medium

These crazy comic monsters are really fun and colorful! Round eyes, huge mouths, fluffy fur and sharp spikes make each figure an individual character. With the Lumocolor acrylic markers you can easily pimp metal objects. The funny monsters embellish, for example, lockers, the refrigerator or simply a can.

Step-by-step tutorial

Sketch
Use the soft pencil and draw your pack of monsters on the metal plate. Use the template as inspiration for your preliminary drawing and add your own monsters by wildly combining eyes, mouths and hairstyles.

Download template

Colouring
Begin by colouring in the bodies of the monsters. Make sure that the coloured areas do not run into each other and let the ink dry well.

Details
In the next step you can colour in details such as eyes, teeth and tongues. Leave highlights, e.g. in the eyes, free to preserve the shine of the metal plate.

Contour
Finally, draw a black outline around all shapes. Vary the line thickness to make the monsters look even more alive.
