Fold over and turn down the top of the paper bag. Repeat this step once or twice, depending on how tall you want the bag to be.

Sketch out the hand lettering in your desired style using the pencil.

Tip: You can draw your design freehand or if you haven’t had much practice it’s very easy to transfer one to the bag. To do this, simply cut out the template with the lettering and shade over the whole of the back using a (2B) pencil held flat. Then lay the template on the bag and trace over the lettering with a sharp pencil (HB).

Go over the hand lettering with the pigment liners.

Add your own special touches using the metallic markers.

Using the ergosoft aquarell watercolour pencils, draw decorative illustrations such as flowers or flower tendrils beneath the hand lettering.

Use a fine paintbrush to add some water to your illustration, creating a lovely watercolour effect.

Once your design is completely dry, carefully rub out any visible pencil lines.

Place your flowers (in a small vase) or house plant (in a small plant pot) into the decorated paper bag.

Your home made plant cover is done!
