Dry markers

Dry markers

Markers are writing pens that can be used to highlight, label or mark specific sections. The unique feature of dry markers is their soft lead, which does not need to dry on the surface after writing. This means there is no danger of smudging. They can be used to write on all sorts of surfaces, such as wood, metal, plastic, glass, leather and more. STAEDTLER offers waterproof and water-soluble dry markers for a variety of applications.

Dry markers for a wide range of applications

Highlighters are used to highlight important sections of text. Highlighting while reading helps us to understand the text better and conceptually internalise the information we read thanks to colour visualisation. These markings make it easier to find individual passages or specific information more quickly. While liquid highlighters use ink, dry markers have a very soft lead core. This makes them excellent for:

  • Marking on thin paper, as the dry lead does not bleed through
  • Labelling smooth surfaces such as metal, plastic or paint, as the markings do not need to dry first and therefore do not smudge
  • Opaque markings on dark or transparent surfaces such as wood, glass, leather or stone

With dry markers, there is no danger of them drying out. In addition, markings made with these markers are lightfast: the text will remain visible for years to come.
