Lumocolor goes ART: Get creative in street art style

Lumocolor goes ART: Get creative in street art style
10 min

Street artists such as Banksy, ROA and co. stand for urban lifestyle and the freedom to determine the back-ground for their own personal works of art. Inspired by street art, STAEDTLER is launching Lumocolor ART, a new product series that enables hobby artists to visualise their inventiveness on different materials. The textures and specific properties of the markers from the new Lumocolor ART range make creative design possible on almost all surfaces.

With its permanent markers, chalk markers and acrylic markers, the Lumocolor ART product series enables various painting and drawing techniques on different surfaces. Depending on the product, individual de-signs and messages can be created temporarily or immortalised for the future.

Lumocolor permanent markers can be used to draw, write or decorate cardboard, plastic, foils or even objects.

Permanent art with Lumocolor permanent markers

Lumocolor permanent markers can be used to draw, write or decorate: Cardboard, plastic, foils or even objects such as skateboards are given a personal look with decorations or graffiti-style writings. The bril-liant ink is low-odour and dries within seconds. This is also an advantage for left-handed users, as the re-sults cannot be smudged by their own hands when writing and drawing. Personal statements or works of art also stick to flexible materials without crumbling or peeling off.

New colours for more variety

Lumocolor permanent markers are available in different line widths for a variety of fine drawing and lettering. With a line width of approx. 0.6 millimetres, the Lumocolor permanent pen F is ideal for detailed drawings, while the line width M of approx. 1.0 millimetres, expressive highlights can be made. Both products are available in cardboard boxes of six, ten or 14 colours each. The colour palette is further expanded with light blue, turquoise, purple and grey. Eight selected colours are available in the STAEDTLER stand-up box. STAEDTLER offers the Lumocolor permanent marker with round or chisel tip for thicker lines and surfaces.

Draw with liquid chalk

Drawing with chalk is a popular part of street art culture. STAEDTLER chalk markers can now be used to draw opaque lettering and decorations with liquid chalk on smooth surfaces such as dark boards, glass, windows and mirrors. The low-odour liquid chalk is water-based. The round tip with a line width of approx. 2.4 millimetres applies the eight available brilliant colours. The cardboard cases are available with four or eight chalk markers. Shapes and lines in orange, pink and green are fluorescent even under UV light. If the user makes a mistake while chalking or they want to create space for new design, what's been drawn can be wiped off almost all smooth surfaces with a damp cloth. The materials on which the eight Lumocolor chalk marker colours work very well are shown on the cardboard packaging. The colour white is available as an individual pen.

Colourful and bright with acrylic markers

The new Lumocolor paint markers are ideal for opaque painting on almost any light and dark surface with different structures, such as cardboard, plastic, metal, ceramics and stone. Small flaws in the artwork can easily be painted over after drying. The paint marker naturally adheres better to more absorbent surfaces than to smooth surfaces without a fixative, and the ink has a low odour. With the round tip and a line thickness of approx. 2.4 millimetres, the paint markers are suitable for large-scale acrylic works of art as well as for expressive lettering. The paint marker is light-resistant, weatherproof and waterproof. Initial suggestions can be found on the cardboard packaging, which contains six or ten Lumocolor paint markers in brilliant colours. The colours white and black are also available as individual pens.

Get started with DIY sets

The two DIY sets make it easier for beginners in particular to get started right away. The mixed painting sets include seven different coloured Lumocolor permanent markers so artists have everything they need to quickly achieve a successful experience. A set contains markers in line widths M and B as well as a strong paper case for colouring and practicing on. The other set includes markers with line widths F and M and three sticker sheets for colouring in.
