FIMO leather-effect Halloween pumpkin earrings
What would Halloween be without a special outfit?
And if you prefer a quirky look instead of spooky accessories, these stylish pumpkin earrings made of FIMO leather-effect are just the thing! They complete any costume perfectly and are a real eye-catcher at this year‘s Halloween party!
Cut two FIMO leather-effect strips in black and knead them gently with your hands. Now roll out the FIMO clay into a 0.5 mm thick sheet with the acrylic roller.
Tip: The leather effect is even more striking if you gently move the FIMO leather-effect sheet again with your hands after rolling it out and pull it slightly apart.
Then place the FIMO sheet on baking paper.
Use the pumpkin cutter (not embossed) to cut out the motif twice. Remove any excess FIMO.
Tip: Work in progress and left-over material should be protected against sun and heat and can be stored in a screw-top jar or in cling film to protect it from dust and dirt.
Now cut off two FIMO leather-effect strips in the colours watermelon and saffron yellow and roll out the two colours into a 15 cm long string. Twist and knead both strings together again and again until an even orange mass is formed.
Now use the acrylic roller to roll out the FIMO clay into a 0.5 mm thick sheet and then place it on baking paper.
Use the cutter to cut out the pumpkin twice again. In addition, for the orange pumpkins, you can now emboss the face with the embossing of the cookie cutter.
Now use the blade to place the orange pumpkins on top of the two black pumpkins and press them lightly. Then use the bead piercing needle to puncture an approx. 3 mm hole in the stalk of the pumpkin.
Place the baking paper on a baking tray and harden the FIMO earrings for 30 minutes at 130°C/ 265° F in a preheated oven with top/bottom heat.
Leave the earrings to cool completely.
Now attach the ear hooks to the pierced hole of the earrings using jumprings. Done!
