FIMO leather-effect - Bow

Create a homemade bow in a leather look with FIMO leathereffect and give your clothes, bags or hair in a unique and stylish look!

You will need a block of FIMO leather-effect in a colour of your choice for the bow. Roll out the block with the acrylic roller to a sheet approx. 1-2 mm thick.
Tip: The leather-effect is even more striking if you gently move the FIMO leather-effect sheet again with your hands after rolling it out and pull it slightly apart.
Tip: Work in progress and left-over material should be protected against sun and heat and can be stored in a screw-top jar or in cling film to protect it from dust and dirt.

Place the FIMO sheet on baking paper and harden the FIMO in the oven at 130 °C / 266° F top/ bottom heat for 30 minutes. Use an oven thermometer to check the temperature regularly!

Now print out and cut out the bow template.
When the FIMO leather-effect sheet has cooled down well, place the bow templates on it and copy them to the FIMO sheet with a black Lumocolor non-permanent marker.

Now use scissors to cut out the shapes along the markings.
Tip: If you still see marker residues, you can remove them with a damp cloth.

Now put the bow together: Bend the large part of the bow (shape with the two ovals) so that the ends meet in the middle and glue them together where they touch with superglue.
Now place the already glued bow on the larger of the two remaining shapes. Stick them on in the middle.
Finally, place the banderole centrally around both parts and glue them together on the back so that the seams collide.
Now attach the pin / hair clip to the back and your FIMO bow is ready!
