On World Kids Colouring Day on 6th of May, we call on children to put pen and paper first. After all, this colourful hobby gets kids ready for the future. When kids pick up a pencil, it is more than just a leisure activity. That’s because colouring develops fine motor skills, perception and analytical thinking – and strengthens the brain’s structure for successful learning. Children relax by concentrating on their pictures and the use of colours, forms and patterns. At the same time, they enhance their communication skills and boost their self-confidence.
In line with the motto of ‘children colouring for other children in need’, we also want to honour our social responsibility. And as the youngest members of society are especially important to us, all images sent in help STAEDTLER to support a children’s charity.
The “Take Your Break – Colour Your Moments” initiative aims to raise awareness of the need to strike the right balance between stress and success in the workplace. Its stated goal is to establish adult colouring as a key component of occupational health programmes.

If you would like to report severe rule or legal violations, please contact our external whistleblowing system STAEDTLER Integrity Line. It offers employees, customers and business partners the opportunity to provide information about unlawful behavior anonymous and transparent. This information can be used to prevent damage to STAEDTLER and its employees. The system is provided by an external service provider to protect the anonymity of the whistleblower.
STAEDTLER has had close ties with the school formerly known as the School in Knoblauchsland for many years now. The renaming of the primary and secondary school as the Friedrich Staedtler School in 2010 further strengthened our fruitful work together.
The STAEDTLER company has supported the City of Nuremberg’s Noris Inclusion Living Space Nuremberg Project (formerly Nuremberg Sheltered Workshop) since February 2012 and provides external work in its hand packaging section for around 20 members of staff. Every employee here has his or her own access token and a large working area, and is able to socialise with colleagues in the specially adapted kitchen and adjoining break room.
Project participants spend their lunch break with STAEDTLER employees in the communal company canteen. The separate working areas do not impact on the way staff deal with each other: the relationship has been open, straightforward and friendly from the start.
