Step-by-step tutorial
Cut half a block of FIMO leather-effect in the colour of your choice and roll it out roughly with the acrylic roller.
Now roll out a FIMO sheet to a thickness of approx. 1.5 - 2mm. You can do this with the acrylic roller or alternatively with a clay machine on level 3.
To achieve a beautiful leather-like effect, carefully pull the FIMO sheet apart a little with your hands. Now harden the FIMO leather-effect sheet by laying it flat on baking paper in the oven at 130° C / 265° F top/bottom heat for 30 minutes.
After it has cooled down, use a water-soluble marker such as a STAEDTLER Lumocolor non-permanent marker to draw eight strips, each 1 cm wide. Each strip should be between 10 and 13 cm long.
Cut the strips with scissors.
Tip: You can easily wipe off any marker residue from the FIMO leather-effect with a damp baby wipe.
Drip a little super glue onto the ends of the strips and glue the two ends together to create a drop shape. You need eight drops in total.
First place four drops with the curved back side together and glue them together with super glue.
Place the next four drop shapes in the gaps between the already glued drops. Fix them with super glue.
Make a hole in one tip with a hole punch. You can hang your star on it. Pull the thread through and your personal star decoration is finished.
