Cute DIY egg hat made of FIMO leather-effect

Cute decorations for your Easter brunch
At Easter, what could be nicer than having a cosy Easter brunch with family or friends? Of course, matching table decorations are a must. This cute DIY egg hat made of FIMO leather-effect is certainly set to catch the eye. Quick to make at home, it's not edible, but it's sure to make your guests smile!

For the hat, you need a block of ivory FIMO leather-effect and a block of berry FIMO leather-effect.
First roll half a block of FIMO leather-effect ivory into a thin sheet (approx. 3 mm thick).

Now knead two portions of FIMO leather-effect ivory with one portion of FIMO leather-effect berry until a uniform shade of light pink has been created.

Roll the mixed light pink into a thin sheet.
For the perfect leather-like effect, carefully pull the FIMO sheet apart with your hands. Harden the two sheets lying flat on baking paper in the oven for 30 minutes at 130°C / 265° F top/bottom heat and then leave to cool down properly.

Cut out the template and use the Lumocolor non-permanent marker to draw the hat shape on the ivory-coloured FIMO plate. Draw the inner ears on the pink plate. Cut everything out. If markers are still visible on the FIMO, you can simply wash them off with water or remove them with a damp baby wipe.
