Industrial plasticine or modelling clay, generally just referred to as clay, has been used for designing cars with ever since around 1920.

The clay is primarily used by the automobile industry for the designing of new cars.
However, more and more designers in other fields are beginning to use STAEDTLER industrial clay as well.

- Light industrial clay weights approx. 42% less than the standard clay
- The weight of models is therefore considerably less, resulting in easier handling
- Lower freight costs when shipping models by road, sea or air
- The working temperature is 55°-60° C

- The warm-up time is shorter than is the case with the medium clay
- The colour and firmness is very near to our medium clay
- 1 twinbar= 1 pc = 1,3 kg

- 1 carton = 9 pcs = 11,8 kg
- 1 pallet = 24 cartons = 216 pcs = 280,8 kg net

- Profile clay is used for the extrusion of profiles, e.g. rubber strips
- It does not have to be warmed up before use, meaning that it can be used in the extrusion press with out delay
- It is particularly elastic and can be bent in a tight radius without the outer edge cracking
